Nice, some kids on the school bus when I was at primary school would just chew down on some stem once the outside sheath was taken off. Blady grass [unsure if it grows outside of Oz] roots has a similar juice and there was a machine patented in Australia to extract sugar from them but sugar cane became more popular due to size and effort obviously :P But blady grass roots are fast and easy snack to chew for the juice if ur out bush n need some sweet sugar water.

juice machine

@reaklin Not with a normal juicer, no… It MUST be a sugar cane juicer, because as you can see from the video, it is SQUEEZING the juice out of the thick, hard stalks of the sugar cane… which is NOT what a regular juicer does at all… a regular juicer would probably get damaged by putting something like this in it!

I drink this soo much in Pakistan. its soo refershing best juice in my opinion and if you add little tiny bite garlic it taste soo much better. Always drink it chilled with ice cubes in summer this is best to cool down and melt down .

@iortas I am not sure what u r talking about. Maybe Piloncillo. But piloncillo it gets hard like candy. And sometimes they add pecans, it is really good. But the juice from the cane we call it Agua Miel.

Yes it is yummy! Back when I was little in PR, my dad used to bring home sugar cane and remove the outer layer and cut it into small pieces and we would chew it and get all the juice inside. Brings me memories…

This was in Seattle at an Asian grocery store in Chinatown, so I imagine you might be able to find it in other cities that also have a Chinatown…let us know if you find another source! ;-)

Everytime I go to India, I have to get my fix of sugar cane juice – hard to find in the USA. Where did you get yours? My mouth is watering just watching the video!

I used organic Gala apples but even fuji will work. Just juice the apples in the juicer with a piece of ginger and a lemon. I used small mexican lemon with the peal and it tasted so great. The mexican lemon is very small compared to regular lemons and the flavor is incredible. Hope this helps.
